Session 1: The Museum of Natural History
For over 130 years, the American Museum of Natural History has been one of the world’s preeminent institutions for scientific research and education. The museum has more than 32 million artifacts and specimens in its vast collection and employs more than 200 scientists. Renowned for its collections and exhibitions, the museum serves as a field guide for the entire planet and presents a paranormal of the world’s cultures. On our trip, children will explore their world, past and present, by engaging themselves in these fine exhibits.
Session 2: The Newark Museum
Enjoy a visit to New Jersey’s first planetarium! The Alice and Leonard Dreyfus Planetarium is a spectacular interactive theater for learning about astronomy, space, and planetary science. Audiences can explore the constellations, travel through the Solar System, visit distant galaxies and soar to the edge of the Universe. In addition, campers will take part in a guided tour of the museum that captures such themes like games around the world and Whodunnit?
